Three formats: (1) Array of Objects — each row becomes a {key: value} object using header names as keys, ideal for APIs. (2) Array of Arrays — rows as plain value arrays without header names, compact format. (3) Keyed Object — first column value becomes the top-level key, useful for lookup tables.
In Array of Objects and Keyed Object formats, headers become the property names. In Array of Arrays format, the first element of the output array is the header row followed by data rows.
Yes. The tool converts your file to UTF-8 first, then uses json_encode() with JSON_UNESCAPED_UNICODE so characters like é, ü, ñ, Arabic, and CJK characters appear as-is in the output rather than as uXXXX escape sequences.
Pretty-print adds indentation and line breaks to the JSON output making it human-readable. Disable it for a compact single-line output that is smaller in file size, useful for APIs and data pipelines.
